1. Improper Oiling
Oiling is great for your hair since it boosts the blood circulation in your scalp and adds the benefits of the oil your hair length. However, some people have a habit of leaving in the oil overnight or even days for that matter thinking about the benefits it'll do. But little do they know that longer duration of this oil on their scalp can result in clogged pores on the scalp leading to hair fall.2. Not Brushing hair before washing

Many of us don't bother to brush the strands of hair before getting into the shower. This leads to excessive hair tangling while you begin to shampoo your hair and eventually you lose out on more hair after the shower. It's suggested to use a wooden wide teeth comb to brush your hair before washing and evenly distribute the natural oils in your scalp.
3. Combing Wet Hair
Have you been combing your hair while bathing? Or do you prefer combing your hair before you let it air-dry or blow-dry? Then this one's for you! You better stop doing this right away! Hair is the weakest when it's wet. Combing in wet hair will make you lose much hair strands than normal. You can look at applying a conditioner to your hair while detangling it in the shower.4. Intense Towel Drying

After washing your hair you grab a towel and rub your hair to dry it off. But, such intense rubbing of hair roughens up the cuticle, leading to dull hair, frizz and breakage. Instead, you can wrap your hair in a clean old t-shirt to soak the excess water in your hair or simply blot your hair using a towel and shake out the strands using your fingers.
5. Heat Styling
While you're running late to office, a blow dry is way much tempting! We all know that heat is the most damaging element to your hair. You may not be able to live without blow-dry, curling or flattening but you can certainly use a heat protectant spray to your hair to shield stands and smooth cuticles. Try and use your styling tool on a warm setting after your hair is almost 60% air dry.6. Not Trimming Regularly

When was the last time you got your hair trimmed? Ideally, you should trim your hair in every 6 weeks for a healthier and shinier hair. Once your hair split the ends, there's no product that can mend it. Before this damage spreads from the roots to your healthier hair it's better to chop it off.
7. Not Moisturizing
Who said that only your skin needs moisturizing? Your hair demands equal care like your skin does. You should incorporate a good hair serum to your daily routine. Also, weekly deep conditioning hair masks will repair your hair damage and strengthen your roots.8. Night Protection

Are you careful with your hair while sleeping? You tend to lose a lot of hair due to the friction of the pillow cover and your hair while you're set to sleep. To avoid this, use a chiffon pillow cover and tie your hair in a loose braid.
9. Improper Shampooing
It's very important to know how often should you be washing your hair. Some people tend to wash their hair every day which results in stripping off the natural oils in the scalp leading to excess sebum production whereas some people tend to avoid hair wash for almost a week which clogs their pores on the scalp with dirt and dust. It's ideal to wash your hair in every 3 days for healthier hair.Hope you enjoyed today's post. Do let us know how did you like it and how have you been taking care of your hair in the comments below!
