If you are like me who suffers from acne and find ingredients like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide too harsh, you may want to consider the use of tea tree oil for your acne and breakouts. Tea Tree oil treatments are becoming a popular option amongst beauty bloggers and people who prefer natural ingredients for their skin. Inspired by all the buzz around, I went ahead to buy my first ever bottle of essential oil - Organix Mantra Tea Tree Oil.
About The Product

I ordered this 15 ml bottle from Amazon for Rs 199. The packaging stated it's 100% pure and it was definitely in my budget. It comes in a little bottle that's very convenient to handle and travel-friendly. The smell of the oil is a little pungent but not something that one can't bear. You'll feel a cooling sensation when it's applied on your skin.
TIP: Ensure when you're shopping for Tea Tree Oil, it should be 100% pure and should not have any secondary ingredient in it to work effectively.
How To Use

When you use this Tea Tree Oil on your acne, it should be applied to clean, dry skin. Once you have done your regular facial wash, you can mix 1-2 drops of this oil in your moisturizer and apply over your skin in massaging motion. I prefer (and have been using) aloe vera gel instead of any other moisturizer owing to the sensitive nature of my skin. Leave it overnight for best results.
Don't put this around (or too close to) your eyes. This may irritate your eyes a bit.
TIP: If you have a few occasional bumps or blemishes on your face/skin you can dab a drop of this oil on the pimple as a spot treatment after putting your regular moisturizer.
The Verdict

It's been 3 weeks that I've been using this product on my face. Since then I've had many painful breakouts on my cheeks, forehead and nose. This oil has definitely helped me out in accelerating the healing process. The spot treatment not only works wonders overnight but also helps in eliminating the after dark spots quicker.
The smell of the product is pretty offensive but it's totally worth the miracle it does to your skin.
I also use a few drops of this oil in treating my dandruff.
It's a great product to go for and totally worth a buy! I would recommend this anyone who's facing acne, pimples and dandruff. 1 bottle will run for good 4-6 months depending on the frequency of your usage.
